I made I through my first week of session! It’s all downhill now! Haha, just kidding.
I was sworn in on January 9th, 2017 at Georgia’s 154th Session! I want you to know I am so honored and humbled to have been chosen to serve the people of the 8th District, and will take my Constitutional Oath seriously every day.
Over the next 3 months of Georgia’s 40-day session I will be updating and informing you on what is really going on down in Atlanta. I want my district to be the most informed constituency and I will strive to be the most transparent and accessible State Representative in Georgia.
I’ve talked to all my local newspapers and I’m happy to announce we will have a weekly column throughout the 40-day session to address issues! A big thank you to The Clayton Tribune, The North Georgia News, and The White County News for allowing me to submit a 500-word column each week!
Over the next 3 months, I will be quite busy meeting other legislators, attending meetings, and introducing legislation, and making sure our conservative voice is heard at the Capitol.
As a limited government conservative, I will be advocating for less government and less spending.
As a Constitutionalist I will always put the constitution first in my decisions and will never waver from protecting our Bill of Rights. Putting an emphasis on more personal responsibility, individual liberty, and property rights.
Thomas Jefferson once stated: “Eternal Vigilance is the Price of Liberty.” And I could not agree with him more!
I will most assuredly be fighting to protect us from big government intrusiveness and making sure our tax dollars are spent wisely.
This will be a hard battle but I will do my best to ensure Georgia will be an example to other States of what the Proper Role of Government should be, Protecting Life, Liberty, and Property!
It's an honor to serve.
